Around the Pattern is an aviation-oriented blog. My name is Tracy and I am the author of this blog. I am an active pilot with experience flying personal, commercial and military aircraft.

Many of the photos available in my associated Flickr photo stream will also be shown here on Around the Pattern, often with additional explanations of their subject and origin.

Most of the photos that are in my photo stream were taken by me or by my family members. Older photos have been scanned in from 35mm slides taken with a Pentax Spotmatic SLR. More recent photos were taken with either a Sony DSC-F707 or the smaller Panasonic DMC-TZ5 that I carry with me on my airline trips.
