Our flight back to the US usually takes a track farther to the south, but active volcanoes in Alaska had us taking a track even farther north on the way home. Our farthest north navigation point was at N84-30.0. That got us about 320 miles south of the north pole. Needless to say, there's not much up there. We logged 14:30 on the way back. My flying is all done within North America where you don't have to deal with extreme changes in latitude. If it all goes bad, we just go to green needles and start tuning in VOR's. And it is crazy to think that you get as much flight time in one day as I do on a three-day trip. Looking forward to your next post.
